PVSD and SNS Pride Week
Dear Stewart Nicks School Families,
The Prairie Valley Board of Education has declared the second week in June to be Pride Week. To celebrate Pride Week, we will be having a school-wide Pride activity on Monday, June 8. The focus of our activities will be kindness, acceptance and love. Students will take part in the following activities on that day:
Each grade has been assigned a colour of the rainbow. Students are encouraged to wear that colour, rainbow colours or Pride clothing.
Kindergarten/Grade 1- red
Grade 2/3- orange
Grade 4/5- yellow
Grade 6/7- green
Grade 7/8- blue
Staff and adults- purple
Weather permitting, at 3:00 PM, students and staff will meet in front of the school and participate in a Pride Walk. Community members are welcome to join us.
Upon completion of our walk, students will create positive messages of love, inclusion and acceptance with sidewalk chalk.
If the weather is uncooperative, a similar event will take place in the school gym.
