Learn about PVSD's Student Personal Electronic Devices Procedure

As stated in the Student Handbook:

Cell Phones and Electronics

If you feel that your child must have a cell phone at school, it must be powered off and remain in their backpack in their locked locker, not in clothing pockets. It remains an option for students to power down and leave their device in the office in the designated area. Students will not be permitted to display, turn on or use a personal telecommunications device while on school property during school hours or during school events on or off campus. During after school programs or extra-curricular activities, the staff supervisor will establish guidelines for the use of electronic devices as they pertain to the specific activity and students are expected to employ positive digital citizenship practices. The use of mobile telephones or any device capable of capturing images is strictly prohibited in locker rooms or washroom areas while at school and at school-related events.   If a student needs to make an emergency call during the day, they are to check in with their classroom teacher before doing so in the office area. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in the confiscation of the device.*  The school and school division assumes no responsibility for the safety, security, loss, repair or replacement of electronic devices.
