Dear Families,

In support of the Regina Humane Society, this year’s charity of choice, the SLC has chosen to make enrichment toys for the shelter animals and are looking for donations of items needed for us to do so. We are gathering the following items until April 2:

-clean bottle/ milk lids
-newspapers/flyers
-clean individual socks or socks you no longer use
-extra pipe cleaners around the house
-clean but old hand/bath towels

Interested students will have the opportunity to assemble the toys after the Easter break, more details will follow.

Sherwood Park Soups
(March 10 - March 25)

Hello SNS families! We are excited to launch our latest fundraiser in support of our new school playground. With 25% of all sales going directly toward this project, every order makes a meaningful impact.

We are proud to partner with Sherwood Park Soups, a trusted Alberta based small business known for their delicious, ready to prepare soup mixes. Each package offers a quick, convenient meal—simply add water and simmer for 20 minutes.

Order deadline: March 25, 2026

Please share this fundraiser with friends, family, coworkers, and anyone who would enjoy a warm, homemade-style soup. Order pickup will take place in Grand Coulee approximately two weeks after the fundraiser closes, with final details shared by the school.

Thanks to the financial support of the Stewart Nicks School Community Council, SNS staff and the SNSCC are excited to provide a fun family evening guided by consultants from Box-Cars and One-Eyed Jacks. Parent-Teacher Conference sign-up will open on March 5 at 8:00 a.m. through Edsby. Please log in to select a time that works best for your family.

Conferences will take place on March 18 and 19 from 3:45–7:30 p.m. We are also excited that our Scholastic Book Fair will be happening those same evenings — a perfect opportunity to support literacy and pick up some great new reads!

Students who will be 5 years old by December 31, 2026 can register for the 2026-2027 school year.

We’re excited to share that the School Leadership Committee (SLC) has chosen the Regina Humane Society as our Charity of Choice for this school year!
This means that any fundraising events we organize will go toward helping animals in need through the great work the Regina Humane Society does in our community.
That said, we also know there are lots of other important causes out there. So even though we’ll be focusing our money donations on one charity, we’ll still be supporting other organizations in different ways — like collecting items and helping raise awareness.
We’re looking forward to a fun and meaningful year, and we hope everyone will join us in making a positive impact — both for animals and for people in our wider community.

Orders can be picked up at 182 Railway Ave on Tuesday, March 10 from 3:30–6:00 PM.

Please note that we do not have space to store items that are not picked up. If you are unable to attend during the pick-up time, please make arrangements with a friend or neighbour to collect your items.
